Control often looks responsible. But underneath it Control often looks responsible.
But underneath it is fear.

And when we’re overwhelmed, it’s easy to start managing everything —
outcomes, emotions, people — hoping it will bring peace.

But love doesn’t grow through control.
It grows when we trust God to meet us in the middle of what we can’t manage.

This is the compassionate heart of God toward us —
inviting trust, not demanding perfection.

When life feels overwhelming, control can feel lik When life feels overwhelming, control can feel like the responsible choice.

But often, it’s not strength we’re reaching for —
it’s relief from fear.

The heart of God doesn’t shame us for trying to manage everything.
He meets us with compassion right in the middle of it
and invites us to release what we were never meant to carry alone.

You don’t have to hold it all together.
God’s heart moves toward you — especially when trust feels hard. 🤍

“If I can’t be in the Word for an hour, it doesn’t “If I can’t be in the Word for an hour, it doesn’t count… so I just won’t do it.”

Have you ever felt that?

As moms, we can quietly believe that if it’s not deep, long, and uninterrupted… it doesn’t matter.

But what if what we actually need each day is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

Simple.
Consistent.
Nourishing.

You can be encouraged by podcasts, sermons, and worship songs (and I love all of those). But encouragement is different from strength.

Strength comes from eating the Word of God.

Five minutes with an open Bible while your kids eat breakfast.
One Psalm before school pickup.
A verse you carry in your heart while you fold laundry.

It may feel small.

But a peanut butter and jelly sandwich goes a long way. 🌿

You don’t need a feast every day.
You just need to eat.

Most of us don’t set out to love conditionally. We Most of us don’t set out to love conditionally.
We simply learn it along the way.

But the heart of God reveals a different kind of love—
one that initiates, sacrifices, and stays present,
even when nothing is being returned.

Christlike love doesn’t keep score.
It flows from remembering how deeply we’ve been loved first.

This is the love God is forming in us. 🤍
