I Didn’t Know What a Christ-centered Home Looked Like Until Someone Showed Me

I Didn’t Know What a Christ-centered Home Looked Like Until Someone Showed Me

by Candace Nassar | May 31, 2026 | Parenting|Spiritual Growth

How to Create a Family Culture That Reflects Christ Nearly thirty years ago, I was a young mom who had just moved to a new city where I knew no one. I had no family nearby. My marriage was struggling. My husband and I had both grown up in divorced homes, and we...
A Call to Christ-Like Motherhood

A Call to Christ-Like Motherhood

by Claire Alameda | May 1, 2026 | Parenting|Spiritual Growth

When Motherhood Feels Like Too Much Frustration and a hint of dejection clouded my young friend’s face as she entered my office. She sank into the couch and dropped the diaper bag, along with the mom gear she had hauled in like a burden. A kind colleague took...

Mom Guilt and Confession: Finding Freedom in Christ

by Sue McAlinden | Mar 23, 2026 | Parenting|Spiritual Growth

The other day, I tried something new. I confessed to God that I wasn’t a perfect mom. The Subtle Lie of “Doing Everything Right” Now I’m not a perfectionist. But deep down (if I’m honest with myself), I believed I dideverything right to raise spiritually, emotionally,...

God’s Mercy in the Messiness of Motherhood

by Sandy Kay Slawson | Mar 9, 2026 | Parenting, Parenting|Spiritual Growth

For many mothers, the responsibilities of family life can feel overwhelming. But maybe you’re one of those who has an immaculate home, a family command center working like a well-oiled machine, and you’ve never broken down into a sobbing mess over a pile of laundry,...

Reflecting God’s Heart in Parenting: How Knowing His Love Changes Our Families

by Candace Nassar | Feb 23, 2026 | Marriage & Relationships, Parenting|Spiritual Growth

Reflecting God’s heart in parenting begins with understanding who God truly is. What we believe about God shapes the way we love our families. If we quietly believe God is disappointed, impatient, or easily frustrated, that posture will eventually show up in our...
Learning to Reflect God’s Heart When Parenting Feels Hard

Learning to Reflect God’s Heart When Parenting Feels Hard

by Sue McAlinden | Feb 8, 2026 | Marriage & Relationships, Parenting|Spiritual Growth

A few evenings ago, I brushed my teeth, changed into my pajamas, climbed into bed, and tried to sleep. My eyes were closed, but I struggled to relax. Unwanted thoughts about one of our children’s behaviors blinked on and off in my head like a neon sign flashing in a...

A simple summer challenge that will change your fa A simple summer challenge that will change your family.

One fruit of the Spirit. One week. That's it.

No curriculum needed. No perfect devotional time. Just a willing heart and a few minutes a day, pointing your kids to the Holy Spirit at work in your home.

'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.' Galatians 5:22-23

Save this and start this week. 🤍

You don't have to do everything this summer. Not You don't have to do everything this summer.

Not even half of what the Christian world thinks you should.

Sandy Kay Slawson wrote something for the MomQ blog that is the summer reset we didn't know we needed. What does it actually look like to practice the presence of God when life is loud and full and moving fast?

Quiet time. Scripture memorization. Family worship. Simple things that matter more than any activity calendar.

Motherhood is a high calling. But our culture does Motherhood is a high calling. But our culture doesn't always treat it that way.

The pressure to wear the mask is real. Perfect kids. Perfect marriage. Perfect home. Sonia has felt it too.

That's exactly why she shows up for MomQ moms the way she does, pulling back the layers, getting real about the joys and the struggles, and reminding the women in her group they are never walking this road alone.

"This journey is never perfect, but it is full of purpose, growth, and beauty."

We are so grateful for Sonia's wisdom, joy, and faith as she walks alongside moms at MomQ. 🤍
