Who We Are

In the spring of 2021, as the world was slowly emerging from the pandemic, Candace Nassar felt God nudging her to create a safe place for moms who were weary and searching for hope. As a high school teacher, she had seen anxiety and depression skyrocket among teens, and mothers were desperate for answers. Her own heart went back to her early years of motherhood living far from family, juggling a traveling husband, and often feeling unsure of herself. What carried her through was a circle of Christian moms who mentored, prayed with, and taught her how to build a strong marriage and family. Remembering how life-giving that community was, she knew God was calling her to do the same for others. With a small team of advisors and mentor moms, she hosted a pilot group in her home that summer, and the response was so enthusiastic that by fall, the first official MomQ chapter launched in her church in Austin, TX.

From the beginning, MomQ has been about more than just meetings. It’s about creating a place where moms experience the love of Christ in real and tangible ways. Like IQ or EQ, MomQ equips women with “spiritual intelligence” for the everyday challenges of motherhood. Through multigenerational community, biblical teaching, and gospel-centered encouragement, moms discover who they are in Christ, gain tools to raise children of character, and find renewed confidence in their God-given role. What began as one small gathering in a living room has grown into a ministry where moms are transformed and families are strengthened through the power of the gospel.
