Are you finding rest and joy in a busy season of motherhood? The Bible calls us, as mothers, to prioritize rest and time with Jesus. Many times we think of “rest” as the brief time at the end of the day when our kids are asleep and we have a few minutes of downtime before going to bed. It’s not an add-on to our busy schedules, but the foundation. We need relational margins, or an internal personal margin with ourselves and others. It’s just a buffer, or space, so that we’re not so maxed-out that we can’t enjoy what we’re doing. God calls us to delight and to enjoy our life. So, if we’re not in touch with our feelings ,we probably need to examine our margins, internally and externally. This “margin” starts in our hearts and our minds. We need to get ourselves in a head space where we can be available to the work that God needs us to do. The only way to do this is through starting with prayer, quieting our minds. Join us on the podcast to hear Annie Mendrala and Candace Nassar, MomQ teachers, share about the connection of finding rest and joy in a busy season.
