A Call to Christ-Like Motherhood

A Call to Christ-Like Motherhood

by Claire Alameda | May 1, 2026 | Parenting|Spiritual Growth

When Motherhood Feels Like Too Much Frustration and a hint of dejection clouded my young friend’s face as she entered my office. She sank into the couch and dropped the diaper bag, along with the mom gear she had hauled in like a burden. A kind colleague took...

There’s a mom in your life who keeps showing up fo There’s a mom in your life who keeps showing up for others, in the carpool line, at the kitchen table, in the hard conversations.

Maybe that mom is you.

If you love Jesus, love the women around you, and have a heart to see families grow stronger, momQ is looking for women just like you to lead a group.

You don’t need a theology degree. You don’t need years of teaching experience. You just need to be willing to show up, ask good questions, and create space for moms to grow in their faith.

When my kids were small, I didn’t have family arou When my kids were small, I didn’t have family around. I didn’t have community. And I was spiritually hungry with no idea where to start.

Then I got invited me to a Bible study for moms. With childcare.

Everything changed.

I came to know Jesus. My husband soon followed. My three kids were raised in the church and all three still walk with Jesus today. The women who led that study mentored me for years. Without them I would be a completely different person.

I never forgot what it felt like to be that lonely, hungry mom with nobody showing her the way.

So I built the thing I needed.

That’s MomQ. Small groups of moms, led by women a little further down the road, learning together how to follow Jesus in the hard, everyday moments of motherhood.

If you’re her, MomQ is for you.

And if you’re the woman who was for me, we need you too.

You just can't see it yet.

The faith you live in front of your kids today is the inheritance they'll carry for the rest of their lives.

Not your best days. Your faithful ones.

2 Timothy 1:5 says sincere faith passes from grandmother, to mother, to child.

It doesn't pass through perfection. It passes through presence.

Save this for the mom who needs to know her ordinary days matter. 🤍

This one stopped me. Dave Willis said it simply. G This one stopped me. Dave Willis said it simply. God designed marriage to be second only to Him. But when there’s distance in the marriage, we quietly start pouring that emotional need into our kids instead. And it feels loving. But it can create a codependency that shapes their future relationships.

The gift you give your kids isn’t a perfect childhood. It’s watching mom and dad fight for each other.
