by Jayme Gradwell | Jun 2, 2025 | Parenting, Relationships

Let’s be honest—nothing tests our faith quite like forgiveness. When the wounds of hurtful words run deep and harmony with one another feels out of reach, forgiveness can feel impossible. But woven throughout Scripture is a radical command: release the offense—not...

You start the day with good intentions. Patience. You start the day with good intentions.

Patience. Presence. Maybe even a quiet prayer.

And then something small turns into something big…
and that familiar thought creeps in:

“I’m failing.”

But what if that moment isn’t proof that you’re failing?

What if it’s actually revealing your need for mercy?

Motherhood was never meant to prove your perfection.
It was meant to lead you back to Jesus—again and again.

So many of us are trying to feel like we’re enough So many of us are trying to feel like we’re enough through how we show up as moms.

If I can just get it right…then maybe I won’t feel like I’m failing.

But Easter reminds us we were never meant to save ourselves.

Jesus already did that.

So we don’t have to parent from pressure.

We get to parent from mercy.

Save this if you need the reminder and share it with a mom who might be carrying too much.

The pressure.
The fear of getting it wrong.
The weight of trying to hold everything together.

But instead of responding with shame…
what if we got curious?

Because that’s where mercy meets us.

🎧 If this resonates, this week’s conversation with Kim Anderson will help you understand what’s really going on—and what to do about it.

Your kids aren’t causing your triggers. They’re re Your kids aren’t causing your triggers.
They’re revealing them.

And if we’re honest…
that’s part of why we’re so exhausted.

Motherhood doesn’t just ask more of us—
it exposes what’s already going on inside us.

But what if those moments aren’t for shame…
but an invitation to get curious?

Not criticism.
But mercy.
