God’s Transforming Work in the Unseen Moments of Motherhood

God’s Transforming Work in the Unseen Moments of Motherhood

by Jana Spooner | May 16, 2026 | Parenting

It’s an all-too-familiar scene that plays out time and time again – the unseen moments of motherhood that no one warns you about. I have an idea for how the day will go. Or how the morning will go. Or even how the next few minutes will go. My kids have...

If you’re like me, your mornings often start with the best of intentions—patience, presence, maybe even a quiet prayer over coffee that God will help you demonstrate His perfect love to your kids. But then the toddler melts down, the big kid talks back, you lose your...

by Sue McAlinden | Mar 23, 2026 | Parenting, Parenting|Spiritual Growth

The other day, I tried something new. I confessed to God that I wasn’t a perfect mom. The Subtle Lie of “Doing Everything Right” Now I’m not a perfectionist. But deep down (if I’m honest with myself), I believed I dideverything right to raise spiritually, emotionally,...

The hardest parts of motherhood are the ones nobod The hardest parts of motherhood are the ones nobody sees.

The moment you're deciding what to say or whether to say anything at all.

The attitude you had to readjust before anyone noticed. The battle happening in your head before you respond to a tiny voice that interrupted your quiet.

God is doing transformational work in those hidden moments. He doesn't just see them. He's guiding you through them.

And He gives wisdom generously to those who ask. (James 1:5)

When everything else feels uncertain, prayer is still a power you have access to. A direct line to the God who sees, hears and guides.

The hardest part of motherhood isn’t what anyone t The hardest part of motherhood isn’t what anyone talks about.

It’s not the sleepless nights or the endless to-do list.

It’s the emotional weight nobody sees.

The worry. The guilt. The wondering if you’re enough. The fear that you’ve already messed them up.

Two thirds of you told us that this week - and I wanted to speak right to it.

You were never meant to carry that alone.

Breathe, mama. Give it to Jesus. He can hold what you can’t.

🤍 Save this for the next time it gets heavy. And share it with a mom who needs it today.

The lies we believe about ourselves as moms are lo The lies we believe about ourselves as moms are loud.

But they didn't come from God.

Jesus calls Satan the father of lies and these are his favorites to whisper to moms. (John 8:44)

They are not the truth.

Save this one for the next hard moment — and share it with a mom who needs it today. 🤍

What do you do when the people you trusted with yo What do you do when the people you trusted with your faith let you down?

Courtney Reissig has been there. And what she found on the other side is something every mom needs to hear.

"People are people. They can't be trusted like God can. But God can be trusted."

This conversation is for any mom who's been hurt by the church, disillusioned by people, or wondering if her kids' faith will survive a broken world.

The answer isn't a better institution. It's a deeper anchor.
