Caught, not taught. That's the theme of Sandy Kay Caught, not taught. That's the theme of Sandy Kay Slawson's new blog, and it's changed how she thinks about passing faith down at home.

It wasn't one big talk that did it. It was consistency. Showing up, year after year, in the small ministries God gave her. Staying patient in the hard moments. Letting the Fruit of the Spirit do its quiet work in front of little eyes.

"Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." (James 2:18)

Community. It’s something I couldn’t do without when my kids were small.

I needed other women walking alongside me. Women who wanted to grow spiritually, and women I could talk through the everyday stuff with too. Diapering. Finicky kids. Starting kindergarten. All of it.

Now my kids are grown, and I want to give that back. That’s why I’m starting a virtual MomQ group this fall. Because sometimes meeting in person just isn’t possible. It’ll be a small group of like-minded women who want to grow spiritually together, with real conversations, not surface-level ones.

Meet Lizzie. Mom to June, Max, and Finn in Cedar Park. For years her identity was wrapped up in being athletic and active. Motherhood has been a journey of releasing that for something steadier: finding her worth in Christ alone.

Now that all three kids are in school, her once-sporadic quiet time has become quiet mornings she guards closely. 'Starting each day with coffee and time in the Word makes such a difference in how I go throughout the rest of my day.'

We'll read twelve reviews before buying a stroller We'll read twelve reviews before buying a stroller.

When's the last time we opened our Bible with that same energy?

We research car seats, schools, whichever parenting book everyone's talking about. We want to build our family on something solid.

Scripture already told us what's solid: 'Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.' (Psalm 119:105)

Save this for the next time you need the reminder. 🤍
