Christine Hoover: From Good to Grace

Hosted By: Candace Nassar

“I think before my mindset was I was like an actor on a stage and I was the only one on the stage and there was a spotlight on me and God was in the audience. And if you could see his face, it would be that he was kind of scowling and his arms were crossed and he was evaluating my performance. That’s not the gospel.”

This interview episode features special guest, author, and women’s ministry leader Christine Hoover. Christine chats with Candace about her journey of finding freedom and hope in God’s grace versus seeking approval by trying to be “good” for Him.

Christine serves as the women’s ministry associate at The Austin Stone’s Northwest congregation. She hosts the Ministry Wives podcast and has authored seven books, including Messy Beautiful Friendship, How to Thrive as a Pastor’s Wife, and From Good to Grace. Christine is married to Kyle, a pastor at The Austin Stone, and they have three boys. You can find out more about her, her ministry and other books here.
