💛 Her Calling & Faith Journey
What drew you to become a Mentor Mom, and what has it meant for your own faith?
I enjoyed my mentor mom years with MomCo, encouraging, witnessing and also learning from younger mothers and wanted to continue that with greater commitment and depth that momQ provides. Interaction with other mentor moms, and the mothers as well as the lessons have all served to grow me in my own faith.
Is there a Scripture that guides you as you mentor other moms?
I have to practice what I preach: to live reverently, to mentor and instruct younger women. See Titus 2:3–4
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children – Titus 2:3-4
🌾 Wisdom for Moms
What encouragement do you most often offer moms in the thick of motherhood?
To commit everything to the Lord in prayer and also pray with their husbands and children. If they don’t have a spouse, to pray with a trusted family or friend. I also remind them that God loves them unconditionally and does not require perfection.
What’s one practical way you help families keep Christ at the center of their homes?
Praying for the Moms and their requests at our weekly gathering and remaining available for added support via text or in-person meeting.
🌸 Living Bold Faith
What does bold faith look like in your life right now, and when have you had to trust God with something beyond your control?
Continuing to proclaim my trust in God to my unsaved family. And yes, trusting Him with the health challenges of two of my children.
🕊️ Heart Reflections
What do you love most about being part of the momQ community, and what’s bringing you joy in this season of life?
Proverbs 27:17 – each person sharpening another. And the way the Lord continues to work in the life of our children as my husband and I pray for them.
